I was denied the Volunteer Emergency Workers' Survivors Pension by the state of NJ despite a Municipal Township Resolution that is a requirement. My husband died in the cab of the fire truck while at a house fire due to a medical condition. The State Pension Board cited his medical condition as the reason for denial, even though there is nothing in the Bill (Chapter 134) that asks for any medical records. What should I do next?
