When I ask for something, he tells me my name is XXXXX XXXXX listed with other clients and he can't show what their payment is. What should I do?

I had a medical issue and went to the doctor a couple of times a week for about a month. One day, a woman named Robin, who is a friend of my boss Lisa, mentioned that they had been discussing my condition. My boss acknowledged this and said they had broken HIPAA laws. I was appalled that my personal medical treatment was being discussed with a stranger and my boss. What kind of law protects me and my personal medical information, and what can I do about this violation?
