I was in a motor vehicle accident on 10/29/2014 and have an attorney representing me. My attorney claims the suit was filed before the statute of limitations, but Hennepin County Court has no record of the lawsuit. I had a credit card in 2001 that I stopped paying on and had a judgment in 2007. I never paid anything on it and want to know if it falls under the statute of limitations. I am located in New York and they are looking to garnish my wages. Is there any way to slow the process or settle the claim?

I found a unclaimed property claim on my county website for a mobile home at my address, which is listed under my deceased grandmother's name. The claim mentions foreclosure proceedings. What should I do to clarify the situation and potentially transfer the property into my name?
