I was sent home from Lakeland E.R. twice and on the third time, they were sending me back out the door when I got the attention of a surgeon who listened to my condition and I had to have surgery. Afterward, I was sent to Winter Haven Health and Rehab Center with no pain pills, antibiotics, and the wound vac was broken for two weeks. I have pictures, witnesses, and paperwork. What steps should I take to pursue a claim against the hospital and the rehab center?

My lawyer promised to take care of my medical bills from the beginning so it wouldn't hurt my credit, but he still has my bills in collections. I don't believe he ever mentioned that we could sue for more than the policy limit of $100k. What steps have I taken so far? I asked him several times to take care of bills and he hasn't. Plus, my rotator cuff has a 90% tear now and I do construction when I can and exercise and am worried it will blow. I was told by a lawyer that it's malpractice that he didn't offer to go after her assets to pay for surgery, which was $90k, and the policy was $100k, so he said we couldn't do it. He also never set me up with plasma shots which might have helped. My lawyer connected me with a lender in October for $1500 and I have to pay $1900 when we settle, and he sent me $5k and $7.5k and told me I would make a min of $20, so I asked if I could get a little more and he said medical had a lien in the settlement so he had to send his own money... so he said he would send $2k through PayPal last week within 2 days and on day 3, I opened my phone and saw all but a few of our texts had been erased. Can my lawyer be held liable for malpractice if he failed to secure a just settlement for prior injuries?

I was a tenant in a house in Texas for 14 months with no issues until a burst water pipe during a snowstorm caused significant damage. The landlord accused me of negligence for not keeping the heating on, despite my following his instructions to manage the water during freezing temperatures. The landlord received $56,000 from his insurance but claims the total repair cost is $81,000, demanding an additional $26,000 from me, including my $2,000 security deposit. I paid full rent for the 2.5 months I couldn't access the property due to the damage. What are my legal options and should I respond to the landlord's attorney's letter denying liability and requesting a refund for the rent and deposit?

I need to terminate my service and close my account by 5/13/21, have my equipment picked up, and provide my forwarding address to TDS to send my final bill. I was on hold for over an hour and didn't get anyone to assist me. Additionally, I want to cancel this service and dispute a $1.00 charge with my credit card company.
