I was wrongfully terminated from my position as managing director of operations in a private sector company with 50-100 employees, under the umbrella of three companies, due to retaliation for bringing attention to unlawful practices such as not paying employees timely, incorrect tax deductions, and hiring staff without proper background checks. The COO, who has a record of neglect of a minor, was hostile towards me and terminated me without a written warning. What are my rights in this situation, and can the COO legally hold her position despite her record?

My husband, who is also a lawyer, is filing for divorce in South Carolina. We have been married for 8 months and have no minor children, but we jointly purchased a home before marriage, which is in his name only. I was unfaithful, and he is now stating he needs to file for divorce as soon as possible. I am trying to understand if this urgency is about alimony or assets, and if he might be scheming against me or if this is purely emotional.
