I work for a Christian nonprofit in North Carolina that doesn't file a 990. Our manual states we get the day after Thanksgiving off, but our Executive Director is requiring employees to volunteer for 8 hours at his Christmas pageant as repayment. This conflicts with the beliefs of some employees, including atheists. Is there any legal recourse for this situation?

I worked for an employer in The Marshall Islands from 2018 to 2020, during which I worked 90 days in a row twice without being paid overtime. I was a firefighter and not a supervisor. I worked shifts of 48 hours on and 48 hours off, with a minimum of 96 hours a week and sometimes up to 168 hours a week due to low staffing levels. Was I entitled to overtime pay, and what steps can I take to address this issue?
