I work for Taco Bell in California, where there is currently no manager. My brother-in-law is being forced to work 7 days a week, and another co-worker has not been getting their mandated breaks. The previous general manager quit after an investigation was launched against him for putting his hands on me aggressively. What are my rights and options for legal action against the company for these labor law violations?

I am selling a physical therapy practice in an asset sale. The buyer is insisting on a name change that would prevent us from using the name to compete in the future and allow them to use the name for goodwill. We have consulted with our attorney and insurance company, who are hesitant due to medical record retention laws in Alaska, which require records to be maintained for adult patients for 7 years past the last date treated and for pediatric patients for 2 years past when they turn 19 or 7 years, whichever is longer. Would it be advisable to concede to the name change, and how would that affect our errors and omissions coverage going forward?

I am 25 and live in Utah. My grandmother raised me and my siblings, and we lived in a rental property she rented for 5 years. My brother was on the initial lease, and we all lived there off and on. My grandmother recently passed away from cancer, and my uncle, who is her power of attorney, is trying to force us out of the property. He claims my grandmother was behind on rent after he took control of her finances. The landlord told me my brother can't stay, but we haven't received a formal notice to vacate. My uncle keeps changing the deadline for us to leave. Additionally, my uncle took out an insurance claim on my grandmother. Is my mom entitled to any of the insurance money, or will it all go to my uncle?

Is it true that a landlord can only charge 1.1 times the market value of a home for rent, and if the landlord is charging over the market value, what can I do about it?

Is it illegal for a healthcare provider to mislead a patient about in-network and out-of-network services, resulting in a $74,000 bill for services that were supposed to be covered by insurance, and is it legal for an insurance company to sell a group plan with marketing materials implying coverage for hospital stays and emergency services, but with no protection against balance billing?
