I work in a nursing home in Ohio as a Nurse. I am the only nurse in the building at night, so I am not allowed to leave the building for any reason. I am told that I must clock out for a lunch break every shift even though I may have to work through my lunch or may be interrupted to care for a resident. I was wondering if this is legal?

We were threatened and shot at at a place of business. The suspect and his wife, who is the manager and 7 months pregnant, were both arrested. The wife was taken to the hospital due to the scare, and contractions were stopped. The owner of the business has been contacted and asked how we want to handle this incident. Do we have a case?
