I worked for a Texas-based company for 3.5 years under an annuity-based commission plan payable on a sliding % scale for 5 years. I was terminated and still have pending commissions owed under the previous compensation plan. The plan was changed to a Total Contract Value commission about 2 years ago, and while my colleague's sales were converted to the new plan, mine were not. Is there a Texas labor law that entitles me to my unpaid commissions under the old plan?

I have a pending child support case in North Carolina. I was summoned to the local courthouse twice, but each time I was asked to return without a specific date. The second time, I was told to come back, but I haven't received a summons since. Do I need to go to the courthouse, and can I go to jail for not receiving a summons?

If I leave Arizona for an extended visit with family, can I be charged with abandonment prior to filing a divorce? I am 67 years old, no children involved, only properties. I am from Mesa, Arizona, and nothing has been filed or reported.

I am in a Chapter 13 bankruptcy and received a divorce decree in January 2017, but there is no final ruling on our property. The opposing party has put a motion out for a final ruling. Can they do this while I am in bankruptcy? Additionally, if a respondent was awarded temporary spousal maintenance and the petitioner did not abide by the court order, can the respondent do an ex-parte order to garnish the petitioner's wages to pay past due spousal maintenance? If the petitioner then filed a Chapter 13 to avoid paying spousal maintenance after the order was in place and the garnishment had started, is the respondent required to quash the wage garnishment? What should the respondent do to correct this situation if the relief from stay was not requested by their attorney?
