I worked in corporate management for 10 years and discovered that my company was not practicing lawful payroll practices, withholding my salary past payday. After addressing this issue, I found out that I and my team were paid, but the rest of the company was not. I planned to resign due to the lack of ethics, poor leadership, and underpayment. HR asked if I would provide the owner with the reasons for my resignation, which I agreed to. However, my boss intervened and the owner refused to meet with me. I followed HR's advice and submitted my resignation. The next day, I was locked out of all company systems. My boss has been spreading disparaging information about me, and I need to protect my reputation. How should I proceed?

Can a lawyer who employs a paralegal pay him a flat contingency fee for work as opposed to an hourly rate, especially in a scenario where the lawyer is offered a contingency fee on a long shot case that requires significant research and work with little prospect of success, and the lawyer does not want to take the financial risk unless the paralegal is also willing to take the risk?

I received a bank letter from Emirates NBD in Dubai and want to verify its authenticity. I am from North Carolina and have not taken any steps yet due to concerns about fake bank letters. I need to know if this letter is genuine and the cost for this service. Additionally, I want a lawyer who can go to the Emirates bank in Dubai to verify the letter. I have a copy of the bank letter.

I have been receiving calls from Publishers Clearing House stating I am a winner and have been set up for a test drive of a car I may have won. I was told not to ask questions at the dealership and to call a specific number if I like the car. I have been instructed to send money to a Texas address and to deposit $10,000 into my checking account, which I have not done. I am in Michigan and am unsure if this is a scam. What should I do?
