If a restaurant refuses my attempts to pay my bill and the police chief said not to pay them until I go to court, will sending a USPS Money Order to the restaurant stop the harassment? I am in Missouri and have been charged with theft of service for not paying a restaurant bill under $100. I tried to pay three times but was not allowed to return to the restaurant. I never received a court date until the prosecutor's office sent one. I have broken my ankle and have other health issues. If I go to court, will they give me bail immediately or will I be waiting a while?

A piece of sheet metal fell off a roof of a building at my workplace, damaging my car. The metal was from an air conditioning unit installed by my company, which leases the building. Both my company and the building owner claim no responsibility and suggest I go through my insurance policy. When it goes through subrogation, are lawyers involved in the process or is it a claims specialist? I live in Illinois and State Farm is my carrier. The incident took place in Crystal Lake, IL.

I have a few fines from 10+ years ago that I need to pay and a restoration fee for my license. The fines have a warrant because they are unpaid, but I now live in Indiana. Is it possible to pay without appearing in New Jersey? What steps have I taken so far, and is there anything else the lawyer should know before I connect?

We own a house at 7765 SW Miner Way in Portland, OR, which is not our full-time residence. Yesterday, the carbon monoxide alarm was beeping, and I couldn't screw either the carbon monoxide alarm or the smoke alarm back on after removing them. Four men from Beaverton FD showed up and found no evidence of carbon monoxide but explained that the system needed to be serviced and the alarms replaced. I need to arrange an appointment with ADT no earlier than next Friday, April 16, and I'm disappointed with ADT's lack of communication about the system needing replacement and the long wait for phone support. What should I do?
