I’m having issues with my landlord in Brooklyn. When I moved in, I was told I had a private entrance, but now the landlord allows someone to park there. Additionally, the landlord is refusing to fix major issues in the house, such as a peeling sink that cut my feet, a clogged drain, and water coming inside during rain. The landlord is also being rude and threatening to evict me. What steps can I take to address these issues and protect myself from potential eviction?

Can I take someone to small claims court over debt owed for a credit card in my name if that person was an authorized user on the account with their own credit card attached in their name, and if so, how do I proceed and what are the potential outcomes?

Is it worth getting a real estate attorney to file papers against a mortgage lender for negligence, given that one of my properties' mortgages was sold to another company without my knowledge, resulting in a large lump sum payment due to their mistake, late payments on my credit report, and issues with tax payments being sent to me despite being included in my escrow? Additionally, have you seen cases where the remaining loan amount increases month to month after payments are made on a non-adjustable mortgage?
