I’m currently in a lawsuit with my neighbor, they are suing me. It’s gotten to the point that they are taking it too far and making many false accusations. I would like to counter sue, or at least submit a set of requests for admissions, interrogatories, and requests for production. But ideally counter sue. My question is this: my deadline to file my answer to their original complaint was on July 14, which I did. Is there a certain amount of time I have to file a counter? And if so am I too late to submit one? Also, I have all my requests done and printed but am not sure how to submit the actual counter sue itself, is there a certain format I must follow? Where could I find that?

I had a court date where my lawyer misread the warrant, and I haven't seen the actual warrant yet. My lawyer also dismissed concerns about the affidavit and chain of custody, stating that none of these issues matter. He suggested I might need to work with the police again without immunity, possibly for probation. I'm confused and frustrated about my lawyer's approach and whether I should push for seeing the documents or try to negotiate a deal for immunity. What should I do?
