In a California civil lawsuit, as a defendant, I received a Notice to Defendant to Appear and Produce at Trial with a large list of items to produce, including bank statements and employees. If I don't produce some of these items, how does that affect my case? Additionally, when presenting my case, do I first address the main complaint and then the cross-complaint, or are they all addressed simultaneously? Finally, what can I do to make the process easier for me, given that I live in Texas and the trial is in California?
