In a community property trial in Louisiana, how do I present proof of my inheritance, which created over a million dollars in assets during the marriage, to the court? My inheritance came from a wrongful death lawsuit and was placed in a structured settlement. My husband signed his rights away to this money, and I used it to pay off property and build businesses. Despite this, my ex-husband is claiming a share of these assets. How can I ensure the court recognizes my inheritance as separate property?

I was terminated from my job in Utah in September 2014 under the accusation of being drunk on the job, despite no evidence or test being provided. I was not drunk and have witnesses to support this. I want to pursue both an unlawful termination and defamation of character case. Have I waited too long to file these cases, and do I need an attorney from Oklahoma, Utah, or Louisiana?
