In a family law case in Texas, where I have a lawyer and a trial by jury set, my ex-partner has filed three false police reports, and the police found no crime was committed. She has also made exaggerated claims. I was granted emergency custody due to her history of sexual abuse, drinking and driving without arrest, mental illness, and being a flight risk. My lawyer wants me to meet her for co-parenting discussions, but I want a safe meeting with a witness or recording. My lawyer feels the judge may not approve of either approach. What are my options for ensuring a safe meeting?

Having someone else present during the meeting is a good idea for safety and documentation purposes....
