In Minnesota, if a court-appointed attorney for a civil commitment case is not protecting your rights, such as failing to petition the court for release when medical advice indicates no medical care is necessary, and allowing the client to become ill and subsequently civilly committed, can you request a new attorney, and under which professional responsibility rules would this scenario fall?

I stole money in 1991 and served time in prison for that. A debt collector is trying to collect money still owed on that case. The court never came after me. It has been 21 years. Is there a statute of limitations on this in Colorado?

I exhausted my right of appeals. My lawyer at the time of arbitration said we should win based on the evidence supplied to the arbitrator. One arbitrator was present at the hearing, and my lawyer did not have the hearing recorded, which clearly shows that this needed to be done to truly show the facts. The arbitrator did not keep records or notes of the hearing for my new attorney, which he tried hard to get, and court hearings under oath show different facts. My MHIC license could be suspended if I do not pay for the arbitrator's error. Could I file a suit against the lawyer who I found out later had no experience in arbitration and should have had the hearing recorded to protect my best interests in arbitration with one arbitrator? I went through all courts and MHIC. Help. Thanks.

Would it be legal to harvest publicly released data leaks found on the internet (email addresses and passwords that hackers have stolen from companies and published publicly), store this information in a database, and resell the information in these leaks to third parties? Specifically, would this be in violation of statutes related to unauthorized access to protected information?
