In reference to my last question, the attorney for the Review Board did not request a transfer, so on August 27, 2012, they were advised as well as my husband's former attorney that this case is closed. The Published Opinion dated 4/24/12 is the final certified decision, which ruled in our favor regarding unemployment benefits. However, my husband received notice that they were using his earnings from 2012, and there were not enough to draw unemployment. We won the case for benefits from 2011, so what do we need to do now?

The key issue here is the discrepancy in the earnings year used for calculating unemployment benefit...

We are importing Chlohexidine Gluconate 20% which is registered as a human non RX FDA product. Our end user will use it in a shaving cream as a preservative at a concentration of 0.5%, with no claims of anti-bacterial use on the label. Is there a monograph exempting this use as a preservative and not an active ingredient, and how should we proceed to clear the shipment given the provided documentation?

I bought a small house and obtained a fully executed sales contract protecting me from all encumbrances and other claims. I failed to file the document with the appropriate court and it was destroyed by a fire. The original owner, who became the owner via heirship, is deceased. I have an exact unsigned facsimile of the original sales contract, but the court will not accept it, nor an attendant sworn affidavit attesting to the purchase. What can I do?

I have a business debt that led to a court judgment against me and my wife, resulting in garnishment of our bank accounts. However, a bank mistakenly garnished my son's account, which is in his name with a different middle initial. The bank and the attorney refuse to lift the garnishment. What can I do to have the garnishment lifted and seek compensation for my son's loss?

We are having trouble with Directv. We own a small restaurant in central valley, CA, and signed up for a two-year contract for on-site program viewing. After the contract term, a salesperson, whom we believed to be from Directv, offered us a new package for three TVs that could be used for both home and business. We later received a letter from Directv's lawyer stating that using a residential account for a commercial establishment is a violation of federal law. Directv now wants us to pay $5,000 plus open a commercial account. What are our options? Can we ignore them? What is a realistic settlement amount we'd be looking for? Can we counter sue the third-party and Directv for misleading? What is the legal cost for hiring an attorney for this matter?

I am looking for a criminal lawyer. My son was given a warning and told the next time he will be arrested with a misdemeanor & felony, & kicked out of school. The parent of the other child filed a complaint against my son AFTER her daughter received a detention for swearing. Her daughter pointed out only my son in a group of kids that were calling her a faker. Now, the school is saying my son has harassed her since last year in 8th grade. They are now in high school and they will not provide details of how else he has harassed her other than calling her a faker. I told the school the daughter has pushed my son and how do I file a complaint for the full story? They said they do not allow retaliation reports. I don't want to retaliate, I want the truth on record. My son did not harass her.
