In the state of Texas, if you have been released on bond and the case is dismissed, are you still responsible to pay the bond? Additionally, if a person has multiple related charges and the initial charges were dropped but new charges were added, what does this mean for the upcoming court date and potential sentencing?

I have a serious issue with a man who committed abuse. We have a pending domestic violence case, but he is trying to harass me civilly for my service greyhound who was deemed a service dog after he beat me. I was told I have to return my dog tomorrow even though the hearing isn’t until the 14th of December. I have a licensed psychiatrist letter stating I am not to be separated from my animal. Should I return the dog prior to the hearing or ask for an immediate motion and have my attorney have the licensed psychiatrist speak on my behalf?

My son was born in Carilion New River Valley Medical Center, Christiansburg, VA in August 2016. There was no diagnosis of cryptorchidism at birth, and we only discovered it recently when a urologist suggested it might be the case. My son now needs surgery, which should have been done before he turned one, and there may be permanent damage. Do we have a case for medical malpractice in Virginia?
