Can you retrieve a large deposit on an event that is more than a year away? The event is a wedding reception originally scheduled for October 2020 in Missouri, for which a payment of $2500.00 has been made. The contract states that 1/3 of the overall fees are due upon confirming the contract and that 'This acts as a reservation deposit. All payments/deposits are non-refundable.' What if both parties do not agree by contract to do so?
