In July 2006, I cosigned for my daughter to purchase a car. She later added a sunroof without my involvement. Despite my efforts to clarify my responsibility, I received a certified letter stating that the bill would be sent to collections if not paid within a month. The general manager of the dealership claimed I am still responsible for any additions made after cosigning. What are my legal rights regarding this situation?
