I was served a summons for a credit card debt I thought had been paid in full. I’m not denying the debt, but I need to know what my next step should be. I am in Texas, and the last payment was made in May 2019. The summons is from JP court, and it says civil citation at the top.

My roommates blocked my access to wifi, which I pay for, and I feel unsafe in the apartment due to their aggressive behavior. I am in Illinois. What legal actions can I take to resolve these issues?

I was selling my dad's house after he passed away and had a contract with a buyer who put up $8000 in earnest money. The buyer didn't show up for closing, asked for an extension but never signed the addendum I sent through DocuSign. I gave him 60 days to close, and the house was 'As Is.' I told him I was keeping the earnest money. He then put a mechanics lien on the house, claiming the money was a down payment and the deal hadn't ended. How can he do that?
