Is there a law that states an individual under 55 can purchase a home in a 55 and up age-restricted community in California? If someone under 55 buys a home in such a community with the intention of fixing it and selling it to someone over 55, would this be considered discrimination?

In Texas, our landlord did not provide the required 60 days notice before the end of our lease to either renew or terminate the contract, as stated in our original lease. Instead, she gave us about a week's notice on the renewal letter, dated 30 days prior to the end of our lease. We signed a renewal for 18 months but want to get out of the lease as soon as possible. Did we waive our right to challenge the lack of notice by signing the renewal, and does the pressure we were under to sign it change anything?
