My husband and I are building a new home with a major home construction company in PA. We had several addendums to the contract, but were not given copies of all of the addendums as each was signed and added. They installed our foundation backwards, and in an effort to fix the error, we had to add two more addendums through the negotiation phase. Both parties signed the new addendums, we turned in half of the payment up front for the changes, and requested copies of all of the addendums (old and new). The next day I received an email explaining that they had made a clerical error, and didn't fully transfer the correct amount onto the final addendum from a previous addendum (over $1000 difference). So we have an incorrect amount on the final addendum with their date and signature, even though the amount is correct on previous ones. Are we legally responsible to pay the higher amount, or is their signature on the final addendum (with the incorrect price) legally binding?
