My 16-year-old son has been building a Minecraft server for a company in Canada, Sweden, and Germany. They agreed to partial payments of 20% at a time, but after receiving the first 20%, they refuse to pay further and are threatening to sue him. The total deal was for $5000. They have changed payment methods multiple times and are now committing slander against him on the Minecraft marketplace. How can we address this situation legally, given that it involves international business and my son is a minor?

We have a business in Orange County, California and our warehouse manager is allegedly distributing Adderall among 6 of our warehouse employees. This feels like a felony and we need legal advice on how to best interview him and whether we are required to involve the police. The claim is hours old and we have no facts except that a long-time employee has come to the company with allegations of drug and alcohol use and illegal distribution from the manager. Can you help advise us?

If I e-served the defendant and they didn't respond within a month, then I physically served them. They finally showed up in court saying they will file a demurrer. Could I argue they already missed the e-file deadline so the physical serve deadline doesn't count? How many days do they have to respond? 30 days or 21 business days? I have to check if they filed the demurrer on time or not.
