My boyfriend and I are not married and are expecting a baby. He wants our child to carry his last name, but I was told that she should also have my last name for legal purposes, especially since we aren't married. I was told that if she didn't carry my last name, I would need notarized documentation to prove she is my child for various legal and practical reasons, such as traveling with her or taking her out of school. How would not having my last name in her name complicate my life, and do I need to carry her birth certificate with me for identification purposes?

Is there a way to track a serial number of a mobile home to check for insurance claims, such as if it had ever been in a flood, to determine if I have a legal right to get out of a loan agreement to purchase the mobile home?

I placed a hidden camera in my 24-year-old stepdaughter's bedroom to see if she was doing drugs, and now they think I did it for sexual gratification. What should I do if I haven't been charged yet, and how should I handle it if the police come to my house and arrest me?

I applied for what I thought was the Known Traveler/trusted traveler program that was in the news a couple months ago. I went to the TSA site that directed me to the US Customs Border Patrol site that directed me to complete the GOES application. I received a conditional approval that said I had to make an appointment and go to one of several locations to complete the process. I chose the Ambassador Bridge location in Detroit, MI. I went there yesterday and completed the process to find out that it was only for NEXUS and entry into Canada. What did I miss and what do I need to do to complete my original objective?

My puppy jumped up on a stranger while walking through a pet store, causing her to become irate. The lady claimed she has a bad back and that it hurt. Can the lady successfully sue me, and is there anything I can do to mitigate the situation?
