My boyfriend and I had a heated argument that led to both of us hitting each other, but there were no marks. The police arrested him for domestic violence, even though I didn't want to press charges. I'm in Ohio. How can I get the charges dismissed and get him out of jail?

I had a fee dispute with my attorney, went to arbitration, and won, but requested non-binding arbitration. The attorney is now trying to vacate the award and has taken me to small claims court, claiming the arbitrator misstated facts. Since the attorney's lawsuit is based on the arbitrator's actions, wouldn't I need to subpoena the arbitrator to defend his statements in court?

In New Hampshire, is a police officer obligated to arrest someone who threatens to burn my house down while smashing furniture within inches of me? This situation involves domestic abuse, and the police were called but did not arrest the person who made the threat, even though it was admitted and documented in a police report.

My mom has extreme credit card debt. She had a stroke 5 years ago and lost all ability to communicate. She lives at home in our house that she has a lifetime heir to. I was recently advised by a credit consultant to send her creditors a Judgment free letter. Is this advisable, and am I responsible for her debt? If I stop making payments, can they take our house or anything?

Got pulled over by police when driving with an international license. I did not realize I needed to get a California license after residing in California for 10 days. I have a court date set up and will be trying to get away without a misdemeanor. I am on STEM extension and got the lottery for H1B. Would I be risking my immigration status with this problem?

My father-in-law passed away about 2 years ago, and we are trying to settle his estate. He had a trust set up for property, but his savings bonds are not listed in the trust. The trustee is insisting that the funds from the bonds need to go through the trust. Who is correct?
