My boyfriend asked me to move out of his house two weeks ago after I had been living there for a year and a half. I moved most of my personal items out the next day, but he has since stopped communicating and locked me out when I tried to retrieve the rest of my belongings. The police and magistrate informed me this is a civil matter. Do people in my circumstance have any luck getting their things back or should I just let it go?
