My current employer is forcing me to put my two weeks notice in because he believes that my Kansas State University course schedule for the fall of 2008 will not "work" with my work schedule. He is working with other students and their class schedules. Can he force me to put my two weeks notice in, and am I being discriminated against?

I am in the final stages of my divorce case. We were married for 6 years and have a 16-month-old daughter. I left due to abuse when our daughter was 4 months old. We own a house, and my ex paid cash for a $30,000 truck and a $10,000 snowmobile after we were married. My ex makes good money, and I was a stay-at-home mom. My lawyer says I can't get spousal maintenance, and I can't get any of the truck or snowmobile. The house has little equity. My lawyer is not fighting much for me, and I'm looking for a second opinion on this.

How long does it take a company to file to release a judgment after they have found out it is inaccurate and cannot be collected on because the original company who hired them now confirms they never had that suit? The judgment is against me for $2293.00 from Capital One with Assignee of Providian Bank, from before I filed for CH13 in 2005. My CH13 was dismissed in 2006 due to my ex-husband's failure to pay. The court claims a zero balance, and Capital One says I don't owe them and has no record of this judgment. The mortgage company says it has to be released with the court before I can close on my house. How can I get this resolved quickly?
