My daughter was mistreated, bullied, and developed medical issues that have all been documented at an out-of-state university. She was there on a scholarship. What kind of case is this? Civil, Criminal, Personal Injury? All three?

As the pro se plaintiff in a case that has been removed to Federal jurisdiction by the defense counsel, I'm unsure of how to issue summons for witnesses I intend to call to testify. Additionally, I need clarification on the terms 'non party,' 'summons,' and 'subpoena,' and who else reads my pre-trial statement and Motion in Limine besides the Federal court and the police lawyer.

My son's girlfriend (age 24) was arrested for two counts of felony larceny and breaking and entering, despite having lived in our area for 3.5 years and having no need to commit the crime due to a trust fund. She has an alibi supported by debit card transactions showing she was in our county during the time of the crime. We are concerned about the validity of her arrest, the handling of the case by the authorities, and whether her civil rights have been violated. We are also curious about the normal procedures for obtaining warrants and transporting suspects, and whether there might be malicious intent behind the arrest due to past relationships. What advice can you offer regarding these concerns and the potential for a civil suit if she is cleared of the charges?
