My domestic indoor cat has bitten my wife twice in two years. The first incident was while clipping her nails, and the second was while applying flea medication. The cat is current on her vaccinations, including rabies, and is not aggressive but gets scared when handled. My wife went to urgent care for both bites and was prescribed amoxicillin. After the second bite, we had to quarantine the cat for two weeks, after which a Department of Health representative cleared us and lifted the quarantine. Our concern is whether this second incident subjects us to any more severe intervention, such as the cat being taken away or euthanized.

My grandmother worked at American University from 1987 to 2015 and was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008 and again in 2015. We recently discovered that AU was a testing site for weapons in WW1, and many of her colleagues also developed cancer. Could radiation exposure from AU's past activities be the cause of her cancer, and if so, do we have enough evidence to file a lawsuit?
