My dorm room was searched by campus police in response to a call about my suitemate. They took my locked footlocker and are holding it until I surrender the key for inspection. I do not want them to search it if they do not have the legal right to do so. What should I do, and what are my rights in this situation in the State of Florida?

My daughter's kindergarten teacher has been insisting that my child be checked for ADHD and has been making extreme negative comments about her in front of her, which I find highly inappropriate. Additionally, I have observed my daughter being neglected and treated poorly by this teacher. I have already started the process of moving her to another school, but I want to know if there are legal actions I can take to prevent this teacher from harming other children and if there are laws against such negligent behavior in the care of young children.

A truck backed into my rental car in San Diego. The truck driver's insurance paid 100% for the physical damages but refused to pay an 'Admin fee' and 40% depreciation totaling $1,000. The rental car company wants me to pay these fees, threatening a 30% collection fee if not paid within 10 days. The rental agreement did not mention any responsibility for such fees. Am I obligated to pay these fees when the truck driver's insurance already paid for the physical damages?

How can I obtain an injunction against the City of Brighton to force them to allow a division of my 50/50 owned real estate parcel with my ex-husband, which is marital property? The property has not sold 6 years after the divorce, and I want to sell a portion of it to move on with my life. However, planning and zoning, along with the annexation agreement, do not allow for a division. What steps should I take, or is there a real estate attorney with a working relationship with the city who can help?
