My father is in a rehab center in Port Charlotte, FL, where he was being rehabilitated for hip surgery. Recently, he fell and sustained injuries, and the facility is now discussing hospice care. They are trying to get him to sign release papers for fault and have denied me access to visit him multiple times, citing security issues and my father's mental state. What legal steps can I take to ensure my father's wishes are respected and to address the potential abuse and discrimination at the facility?
