My fiancé has a general contractor license and worked on a remodel job for about 5 months, completing it in August. The invoice total is over $7000, but the client won't pay and has stopped all communication. The client has already sold the house, and part of the sale is owner-financed, meaning she still has an interest in the property. We have tried to communicate through calls, letters, and texts, but all attempts have been unsuccessful. We are in Washington state and are wondering what our legal options are to recover the payment.
