My grandson is applying to Xavier High School and we have only two more days to find out if he will be accepted. I made a donation to Catholic Charities and sent a Christmas donation to his current school principal, but the check has not been cashed. I am concerned about the possibility of an appeal if he is not accepted and want to know the best course of action, including whether I should contact the school principal about the uncashed check and how to proceed with an appeal if needed.
