My husband and I own a 3-family home, purchased during our marriage, with the mortgage in my name and the deed jointly with my mother (1% interest). I recently discovered that two tenants have left without my knowledge, reducing our income and putting us in a deficit. My husband has a bench warrant for failure to appear on a boating violation in Florida. He received three tickets on the same day, paid all three, and the court records show all cases were closed on 8-19-2020. One case was reopened on 9-11-2020 due to an unpaid balance of $34. The court summons was sent to an old address, even though his driver’s license and vehicle registrations had the correct address. Can we resolve this without him going to jail?
