My husband and I were falsely accused of passing counterfeit money at a fast food restaurant, resulting in the police being called. The police verified the money was real, but the manager did not apologize and blamed my husband for the incident. Do we have any legal recourse?

I sell jewelry on eBay and have been using the name of a jewelry artist, Jes MaHarry, to describe pendants that I buy and resell, even though the beaded strands are made by someone else. Recently, my auctions have been pulled off by eBay due to a claim from the artist's employees through eBay's VERO program. Can I continue to use the artist's name in this way if it's clear that only part of the jewelry item was made by her?

I hired a lawyer to generate an application for Medicaid in New York. I was told the cost could range from $10,000 to $13,000, and I currently owe them $10,000 after paying $13,000. My mother passed away, and we need her original will for a fair hearing for Medicaid since the application was denied. The lawyer refuses to release the will due to the outstanding balance. Can they legally withhold the will, and since my mother passed away with no assets in the estate, are we responsible for the balance?

If I only sue party 1 for now, can I sue party 2 at a later time if they default? I am concerned with waiting to sue party one since they may leave the state making it more difficult for me to find them if I wait. Also, how much would it cost to have a letter drafted by an attorney threatening to sue if no response is received to potentially avoid paying the court costs?

My ex-husband logged into my personal email account and copied documents, photos, and other attachments. He had my password and access. I've changed my password, but Microsoft locked me out of security changes for a few weeks. I don't know if I can prove it happened, but I have some screenshots of files that were moved. We're both in Nevada. He just took some documents and photos, possibly copied emails. I think he's trying to get evidence against me. We are divorced, and there are no ongoing custody issues. He has threatened to sue me for contempt, but I feel violated that he went into my personal email and took things he had no right to. What should I do about this situation?

I'm developing an app that uses publicly available data from various manufacturers, which are referenced by name. I'm concerned about potential legal issues, such as being sued by the manufacturers for using their names without permission and whether I need to include trademark notations (TM) or (R) in the app.
