My husband is trying to find his biological father. All he knows is his name and where he worked in 1962. Since he worked at an insurance company, a big one, they would have records on him. How does one access those records to find out information on this person? The insurance co is American General Life Insurance. It's headquarters are in Nashville Tenn. That is who we called.

I belong to a group therapy program for behavioral health for adults. I live alone, am 62 years old, and disabled. I've received many remarks suggesting I should have a friend or move to a nursing home for help. Today, a therapist asked if I believe I have the right to take care of myself. I said yes, but I'm concerned about these remarks and my right to live independently. Do I have the right to take care of myself, and should I continue with this program?
