My insurance company is demanding $100,000 to settle a claim for a car accident my son had in September 2018. My son was on our insurance policy with Progressive Ins. Co., and my coverage limit is $100,000 for Bodily Injury. The car was in my late husband's name, and he passed away in January 2019. Can the insurance company get the $100,000 from me if my son has no cash or property to cover this? Additionally, what will happen to my son if he has limited assets and income?
