My niece has been transferred from the Women's Central Prison in Chowchilla to Walden Half-Way House in Los Angeles. She was told she cannot see or have any contact, work, or communicate with anyone outside for 77 days. This seems unreasonable. She has a job and her two-year sentence will be completed in January 2009. Is she being discriminated against at the half-way house, and is a 77-day waiting period normal? What provisions are available for emergencies like her mother's serious illness, and what is the purpose of a half-way house if not to rehabilitate individuals for a smooth transition back into mainstream life?

Took my dog to the groomer; the dog had a hard time and started breathing badly. The groomer kept the dog for 3 hours, and when I picked up the dog, she couldn't breathe. The groomer did not call me to inform me. I took my dog to the vet as an emergency and found out she had heat stroke from being groomed/heated by the dryer.
