My rent is due on the 1st of the month, with a one-day late grace period. On June 1, 2019, the 1st fell on a Saturday, and the bank closed at 1:00 pm. I did not make the payment, and the bank was closed on Sunday. I made the payment on Monday at 9:00 am. Does Sunday count as my 1-day grace period in the state of AZ? I signed an agreement for 2 years at $950, stipulating that if I were late, they would raise my rent to $1000 and charge a late fee of $25. My agreement goes to January 31, 2021. Now they are saying I am in default.
