My sister and I, along with our 2 nephews, are heirs to our deceased mother's estate, which includes a home inherited from our deceased father. Our mother remarried, and after her death, our stepfather moved out of the homestead. We are in the process of selling the home, and our stepfather willingly signed a release. However, our stepbrother claims to have power of attorney for our stepfather, which we were unaware of. Do we still need our stepfather's or our stepbrother's signature to legally sell the home, which we inherited from our mother's will?
