My son is 21 years old and I went to have his child support stopped last week, but was told it would cost $218.00 to stop it and that I needed to hire a lawyer to file some papers. My son is in the Air Force and his mother is still receiving his money. She is also still getting money for our 18-year-old daughter who has been in foster care for almost 2 years, which I was not aware of until 2 months ago. How can I stop these payments and what steps should I take?
