My son was given the drug Fanapt, which is used for schizophrenia, while being treated for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactive Disorder with mild retardation. He had a severe reaction to the drug, causing setbacks in school and problems at home. The Nurse Practitioner knew that Fanapt was only for patients with schizophrenia and only after all other drugs had failed. What should I do to address this malpractice, given the time constraints and the need to file a complaint before the deadline?

My parents sold their business to a man with a contract. He is supposed to pay them $1600.00 a week plus around $400.00 a week for drawings of manufactured parts. He has been paying them inconsistently, around $500.00 a week, and stops paying completely when they try to take him to court. My parents have lost their home due to this man not paying and are currently struggling financially. They do not have the money to pay a lawyer and still live. The new owner is around $160,000.00 behind in payments not including interest. How can they ensure he continues to pay during the court process so they can survive?

Can a CA court rule on something not before it after issuing a proper tentative ruling, and what CCP or rules say they can't? Specifically, the court issued a tentative ruling denying the order to lift a stay pending arbitration, but the final order after a hearing added that the arbitration had to be AAA, which was not an issue before the court.
