My spouse is constantly yelling at me with profane words in the presence of our child, up all night walking and using profane names, occasionally putting her hands to my face to elicit retaliation, and tossing books. Can I file some sort of domestic charge/spousal abuse for these actions?

My husband had his daughter when he was 16 years old, and he has been in her life but not consistently. We've been together for 6 years and have been more consistent in seeing her in the last year, but her mother restricts our visits to one day a weekend. Our daughter (11 years old) wants to be with us every other weekend and on holidays, but her mother won't allow overnight visits. We have two children of our own who also want to see their sister more. What should we do, and could a judge grant us more visitation rights despite the past inconsistency? We can't afford a lawyer, so is there a way to get legal assistance like a public defender?

About a year ago, I was assaulted by a worker from Orkin, the pest control company, in a mall parking lot. He hit me twice in the head after threatening me, and I took him to the ground. After the incident, I went inside to calm down but lost consciousness and had a seizure. I had an attorney, but she was unresponsive and unhelpful. I am a military member in the USAF, but the staff judge advocate could not help because the incident occurred off base. What legal options do I have?
