I found a regulation that limits towing and storage fees for abandoned vehicles, but the district judge said it doesn't apply because the vehicle was towed in less than 48 hours. The towing company wants thousands of dollars for towing, storage, cleanup, disposal, and administration fees, even though the regulation I cited doesn't mention these fees. Additionally, I didn't receive a letter informing me where the vehicle was towed to for over a month after it was towed by the police.
