On a NCL cruise, my wife and I purchased jewelry from Diamonds International in Mexico, believing it was within our credit limits. Upon returning home, we discovered the total cost was over $21,000, far exceeding our limits. I have tried to resolve this with Diamonds International without success. I am on disability and my wife receives a retirement check, making it impossible for us to afford this amount. What legal actions can I take to resolve this issue?

We are a startup business in Texas, considering whether we need to engage a lawyer to review a lease contract. We have already negotiated and agreed to the commercial terms and need to know if the legal terms, particularly the guaranty and remedies language, will hurt us as both tenant and guarantor.

I believe the judge's decision to allow my daughter to keep her mother's husband's last name and hyphenate my name onto it was wrong, given that I have a DNA test proving I am the biological father. Can I appeal this decision to have my name as her only last name?

I am a distributee in an Administration (no Will) in New York State. I received part of my distribution already. Can I waive the rest of my distribution and have it pass directly to my son (not to the other distributes)? If so, how?

I'm being sued by my landlord, who signed the lease as an agent for the property owner, an LLC registered in Massachusetts. The landlord filed the court papers representing the LLC, not the owner. Does she have the right to take me to court as the agent and not the owner? The court case is in Pennsylvania.
