Our family dog had surgery for a torn ACL, during which a heating pad malfunctioned and burned 50% of his back. He required additional surgery for a rotational skin flap to cover the unhealed area. It is now 6 months later, and we believe Otis is as healed as he will get. He has a 3-foot scar and most of his hair has grown back. We want the vet to compensate us for all medical bills, including the initial surgery, and for the items that had to be discarded due to blood and body fluids. Can we also get compensation for pain & suffering and for Otis being permanently scarred? We live in Wisconsin.
