Our rural neighborhood has 3 properties that are used as party spots for young people. They leave in the wee hours - probably not sober and we are concerned about accidents. They also got rowdy a few nights ago and tipped over a pick up truck. Dangerous stuff. We wonder if there is a liability factor to the property owners, if they are aware of and continue to allow their property to be used this way. What state are you in? What does it mean when a party is told anything by an expert witness concerning any matter, for the reason that such revelation would refer to hearsay, not subject to proper cross-examination by counsel for Movant, and for the further reason that such expert testimony would not be admissible without a proper predicate concerning the expert's qualifications and abilities to give such testimony?

In a family court trial, my lawyer asked for a motion for a directed verdict based on the wrong code section (CCP 630 a instead of CCP 631.8 a). The judge granted it, and a verdict was made. Will the wife win an appeal based on this mistake, and if so, can she have a trial again and present her side from the beginning?
