Received a ticket for having the wrong license plate on a newly purchased vehicle, which was driven home from the purchase site. The ticket was for no insurance, which was dismissed, but the court called the plate violation a misdemeanor. I plead not guilty, as I did not intentionally, willfully, or knowingly violate the law. My Pittie was tethered to a tree in my front yard while I was taking care of my yard. My neighbor, who has previously threatened me about my dog, reported my dog to animal control after her dog died following an incident where my dog broke free from its tether. The neighbor claims my dog is a nuisance and has made threats about pressing charges. Can my neighbor press charges and have my dog taken away or destroyed?
